MSHS PTSA is proud to announce that we will award a Golden Acorn this year. The Golden Acorn is a very special award given by our PTSA to individuals who have given outstanding volunteer service and shown dedication to our children and youth. Candidates are required to be MSHS PTSA members and demonstrate service to all students. Their volunteer service generally extends into the community in addition to their service through PTSA and the school environment. A $65 contribution will be made in their name to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Foundation. These funds provide scholarships for post-secondary students. MSHS PTSA 2009-2010 Grant Awards |
|
Mount Si High School PTSA recently awarded more that $4200.00 in grant funds to MSHS staff from various departments. One grant, submitted by math teacher, Melanie Breitbach, will fund two days of after-school math help, a program that was eliminated this year due to budget cuts. The grants are funded solely by donations from PTSA members and the local community. With additional donations, the after-school math help program could be expanded to 3 or 4 days. Contributions can be made to MSHS PTSA, 8651 Meadowbrook Way, Snoqualmie, WA 98065. MSHS PTSA is a non-profit organization and contributions are tax deductible. |
